Schedule release should be in the next week or 2. Who's likely in this year? I might try to go to 2 games this year, maybe bring my son to a non-tailgate game (I can't have you assholes corrupting him). I guess tickets might be a little harder to get if the stadium isn't allowed to be at full capacity. MB already told me he's in no matter what or he'll buy everyone else's ticket.

Added a poll. My favourite is the Bengals, for two entirely personal reasons. 1, it gives an extra month of room for the border to re-open, and 2, if the border opens early enough for me to get down for the NE game in week 2, it means I'm not coming down twice in 15 days (which probably wouldn't be permitted).

Bring your spouse, it's a lot of fun. I brought my wife to the last one I attended and she was pleasantly surprised with how friendly everyone was (since you're all really arseholes)

Looks likely, they're pushing hard to get it opened. Current restrictions are in place until July 21st and we're currently vaccinating at a rapid rate, so I'm pretty sure it's going to open up no later than end of August.

Per the below pix: had no idea who the two yahoos on the left were (my nephew's in green on the right) but after they won "capture the flag" from a nearby group of Steeler fans we became fast friends as we ourselves were in the midst of a verbal assault on a Steeler group as well. It gets better (worse): nephew & I eventually ended up being "asked to leave the premises" by security. Here's the good part: we were two of 15 fellow tailgaters who made the trip which included my nephew's son; that's right, 'daddy' got thrown out of Metlife-lmao....."son, don't tell your mother...".... It was late. 4th qtr. so no problems hooking up 10 min. later in the parking lot for some post-game treats. While we're toilet trained there's something about obnoxious "traveling well" Steeler fans....and I'm waaaaay too old for this excrement...

You have to get out to one. The one protecting a nut shot is my Dad I am right next to him. Next year according to some of the blowhards here, not singling out MB or ScotlandJet as guys that don't show up any longer but consistently yack about coming but they're the two prominent blowhards, we will probably have a good turnout. I think this year was more of a test run because of Covid. My point is show up you lazy bastard.

I'm in. I have a hotel in the city and plane tickets that aren't as expensive this time. My wife and kids are coming to the city, but only my son and I will be at the game. He's 9, so I have told him there will be no whining about the cold or the Jets sucking if he comes. In return I have to stay sober enough to take the train back to Manhattan, which I'd probably freak up sober anyway. If there's a way to get lost, I'll find it.
Any actual tailgate/cooking plans? Worst case we can do the Tailgate Joe thing if no one wants to cook.

If buying on SeatGeek or similar, is it best to wait until near gameday when looking for lower level good seats for a good price or is that only best for getting cheap nosebleed seats?
Right now good seats on 30-40 yardline (sec 140) lower level are about $200 a piece. I don't mind if that's what it is, but didn't want to buy them and see them for $120 the day before the game. I want my son's first game to be good seats so maybe he'll enjoy it more.

They're 2nd only to WFT fans as the biggest poopchutes. They're horrible from my experience. It was endless fights, it was funny watching the yellow security jackets have to run around the stadium like chickens with their heads cut off.

My only chance lies with the tenants who are taking possession of the house. If they're chill about me not getting the basement renos complete until next week because they're not moving in immediately then there's an outside shot, but even if they are I'll feel like a bit of a heel delaying the work just because I want to go get drunk with my mates. We're handing keys over Friday evening so I'll know for sure then but it seems very unlikely, not least because even if they're cool with it being delayed Mrs English almost certainly won't be.

The only two games I’ve watched from beginning to end are the game we were at and the Thursday night game against the Colts. My kids are 10 and 7 now, my life revolves around them. Also, my car is completely crapped out as of noon yesterday, I’m either looking at thousands of dollars in repairs or having to get a new car at the worst time possible. But, I said I’d go, so I’m gonna go. I have a free day, although waking up at 6am after bartending should be a blast, but you live six hours away, so that I definitely understand. Either way, we’re breaking your balls because we want you here.

I remember there being a consensus of no dips because of covid last tailgate so I wasn’t sure what the thoughts were. Either way, marinating the chicken only takes me about 15 minutes. I always feel like the shrimp is a nice change of pace from all the barbequed stuff and it always gets finished.

My hotel is near Don Antonio's pizza. Wanted to get some pizza there again (mmm prosciutto) but I know the kids won't appreciate good pizza yet. So I went to some hole in the wall place and got the little boogers a cheese pizza. It wasn't good NY pizza, but it was probably above average for Virginia.
