I googled #23 New England Patriots and it told me that was Nate Jones. Which it was, in 2011.

Allen did a great job of stiff arming him, it was subtle but watch. Allen is more adept offensively than Edelman is defensively.

Edelman definitely played some corner as a Patriot a couple years ago, in the Troy Brown mold. It was a nice move by Allen on someone who is probably (?) a slightly more competent tackler than the GIF made it look.

I really, really wish players wouldn't do this stupid somersaulting into the end zone thing though. It's a matter of time before someone gets injured doing it, and then they're going to feel almost as stupid as that assclown who dropped the ball in week 1.

I really, really wish players wouldn't do this stupid somersaulting into the end zone thing though. It's a matter of time before someone gets injured doing it, and then they're going to feel almost as stupid as that assclown who dropped the ball in week 1.

IMO, it should be a penalty.  Can't spin the ball after a big play, but you can do a senseless somersault?

IMO, it should be a penalty.  Can't spin the ball after a big play, but you can do a senseless somersault? 

I'd imagine that's hard to do as the ball is still in play when the player commences the move and I don't believe that a flag can be thrown for Unsportsmanlike Conduct while in play (I'm ready to be corrected on that though). Still, a player might argue that it's a football move, especially in circumstances like Allen's score where he was evading tackles to score.

Especially when Tomlin made it a rule for the Steelers after last week.  Big furor about somersaulting in a game against your own team, and you decide to flip?  Silly.

He never said he couldn't run. He said he's not a running QB, which is true in the context.

He never knew really when to run in college, and he did it mostly intentionally because he didn't want to be known as a running QB. He's always had the speed (based on his combine numbers), but he's learning to utilize it a little more now.
