Jordan Schultz
@Schultz_Report
Florida State QB Jordan Travis has a 30 visit with the #Jets this weekend, per source.

The 2023 ACC Player of the Year is ahead of schedule with his rehab from his fractured fibula and should be ready to go for training camp.

Joe Douglas would spend on a draft pick on a 24 year old developmental backup QB though

Kinda makes sense s a Turdrod understudy

Turdgod
Teams that draft well do so no matter where they pick. Teams that draft poorly do so no matter where they pick I want my team to win games and draft well

Who would be your preference as a 3rd day developmental QB?

The thing I like about Travis is that we might be able to just stash him on IR and not burn a roster spot. I don't think he's that good, but as a late Day 3 pick, I don't think any of the QBs that go there are very good.

My dawg Michael Pratt

Or maybe take a swing on Joe Milton

The hectic schedule continues for projected top 10 pick Troy Fautanu: Source says he has a 30 visit with the #Jets on April 17 — after previous stops with Philly, Pittsburgh and Baltimore, among others.

Milton intrigues me. Likely possesses the most upside of any QB we could get on day 3 and, if the whole "leading an NFL offense/throwing passes" thing doesn't work out, he could always be converted to tight end.

If we look at a mid round QB who will in all likelihood have a deficiency that makes them go later in the draft, I'd rather have a smart QB that makes good decisions and maybe lacks a little on the physical side of things or faced lesser competition than to have an athletic freak that makes dumb decisions.  Pratt makes the most sense to me.

Pratt and Travis both have a lot of experience and some dual threat ability.  Sam Hartman is super limited physically but he's experienced and just fits the mold of a longterm backup.

I just wouldn't want to spend anything more than a Day 3 pick on either of them.
