Subscription sites still need clicks so they can assess which writers get traction and which don't. Writers who don't get clicks aren't attracting subscribers.

My ultimate dream is that he sinks so much into Chelsea and mismanages it that the best way for him to earn it back is to sell a controlling share of the Jets.

Highly unlikely but I'm allowed to dream.

No reason why he couldn't do both. Khan, Kroenke and the Glazers all have/had NFL and Premier League teams.

Unlike the NFL, it is entirely possible to lose a excrement ton of money very quickly running a Premier League team. No salary caps, no revenue sharing, the importance of European qualification, and the risk of relegation all provide scope for things very quickly going funbags up.
