I think he's viable in the sense that he's going to have to do, but he's probably the top of the upgrade list. He's going into his 5th season as a pro now, I think we've seen his ceiling.
Teams that draft well do so no matter where they pick. Teams that draft poorly do so no matter where they pick I want my team to win games and draft well
My dad always says he's undefeated at tailgating
Maybe it's not I who doesn't know what he's talking about
Bears waive Emanuel Hall
He shook my hand breed tub and walked away
Jets are in the Clowney conversation, although it doesn't sound like particularly seriously.https://www.houstonchronicle.com/sports/texans/article/Texans-Clowney-trade-Dolphins-Seahawks-Eagles-Jets-14396505.php
I imagine our goal is to ensure the Dolphins pay top dollar to get him
"Hello good sir GM, may we pretty please have your throwaway centers and gords please??!? I'll suck yo'dick!"
whichever team gets him...it's only for a year. Clowney can't be extended until the offseason.
You're right, but I suspect that any team trading for him would require a commitment, albeit nothing more than a gentleman's agreement, to a long term deal.
I'm not sure i'd want to part with significant draft capital for a "gentleman's agreement".
I agree. I think it's going to have to be a team that he wants to play for that has faith in him honouring it, and I'm not sure we'd fall into that category. He's a really good player but I don't think he's the missing link for us.
