I was thinking of cult classics I can watch a million times that are hard to find on streaming services. This is Spinal Tap came to mind.  Can you get that one?

should i watch this season stand-alone

i have never watched the show and will not have the time to catch up and watch seasons 1-4 anytime soon

yes

you don't have to watch any of the other seasons to start on S5...

But I do recommend watching S1 and S2 when you get a chance.  S5 is the best standalone season of TV since True Detective S1, imo.
