Maybe I read into it too much but in a way Cimini's question was somewhat of a swipe i.e. "apparently cincy didn't think enough of you to make a serious enough pitch."
that's kind of how i got it too lol. it would be hard for lawson to figure that out just speaking to cimini for the first time, but we know him. he was basically trying to say something like 'why wouldnt cincy try harder to keep you/how wanted were you by other teams/did the jets end up with a guy because nobody else wanted him that much?'.
a better question to ask a new guy would have been 'how hard was it for you to leave a team/city you've been in for the last few years, and why NYJ?'
