i thought i'd feel a lot more catharsis with this news than i actually did. all i can think about is the damage he's done to us over 2 years, and that the firing is 2 years too late

i've come to the realization that i will feel good when we take a step in the right direction with the next coach. gase is fired but it won't matter if we just go from one shitty coach to another.

JD being in charge of the hiring process makes me hopeful

It was handled the right way. Get back from a game, finish that business and release the statement everyone knew was coming. Don't drag it to the next day, keep it classy. Other coaches see these things.

Exactly. Really happy it happened yesterday. I was fine letting Gase ride out the season as long as he was done at the end, and they cut bait the day the season ended.

Yep it was done fine.

 I am not sure about a firing erasing the look of ineptitude of the organization. That's going to take a considerable amount of work on the part of JD and the new coach.
