Got in his first game against the Patriots, played half of Desir’s usual snaps.

Next week he will be playing all Desir’s usual snaps

VERY early, but promising

Bryce Hall has allowed 1.16 yds/cover snap, which ranks 58th-best out of 133 CBs with 100+ cover snaps - the 57th percentile.

That's the best mark among the 13 qualified rookie CBs.

Jaylon Johnson (66th) is the only other ranked in the top-50%.

Sounds like someone's primed for a hamstring pull.

He passed the eye test for me but it’s good to see the numbers back it up. Definitely shown promise.

Nania has said this like 100x this offseason, but Hall had the 3rd highest zone coverage grade from PFF for rookie CBs.

Javelin Guidry was 2.

Hall is a great fit in Cover 2 which Gregg Williams used a lot of.  I think he has the tools to start in a Cover 3 defense, but wouldn't be surprised if he gets yanked pretty early on.

Pinnock and Dunn have a real chance to make the team as outside corners

Their competition is Lamar Jackson, Bless Austin, Justin Hardy and the already been cut Kyron Brown. They have every opportunity to make the roster at outside CB.

The question, is whether any of these guys are capable of starting on the outside and not being a complete and total liability. I actually thought Lamar Jackson played a hell of a lot better than I expected last year as a UDFA that wasn't a good corner in college. But that doesn't mean he should even be remotely considered to be good enough to stick on the roster, let alone play anywhere near the snaps he did last year. Expecting a developmental guy in Pinnock and a UDFA in Dunn to be 2 of your best options on the outside this year should be terrifying.

My overall point is that our secondary is going to struggle hard this year, and likely will be a big reason why we are losing games. That's ok, because we did everything we could for Zach Wilson this draft, and next year we can have more of an even focus on finding defensive talent. I still expect us to go find another outside CB to at least be in the competition in camp.

What's the skill gap that a Cover 3 creates with him versus a Cover 2?

He wouldn't have the help from safeties over the top in most situations and he wouldn't have as much funnel opportunity for the linebackers
