I will always defend wearing those jeans, I looked freaking good in them. They just don't fit any more because I bought them when I was going through a phase of long distance running and now I'm going through a phase of being a fat bastard. Like all things this too shall pass, but I promise I will never give in to being one of those lazy middle aged fuckers who considers cargo shorts, a brewery T-shirt and knackered Reeboks to be acceptable for anything other than yardwork.
Leave the Crocs out of it though. They're my one indulgence and they're staying. Mrs English is starting to insist that I at least replace them with a pair that aren't orange.
