I'd rather pay $15MM to Darby and prince, and still have a 3rd rounder than trade it for Slay and pay him what he wants

Darby's only 26 so age is on his side to bounce back, but he looked like excrement last year. And he's made of glass.

My point exactly. We need to depth and an infusion of youth.  I dont want this team trading picks to be stuck with an old cb with a excrement deal

The #49ers have agreed to terms with former Jets guard Tom Compton on a one-year, $3 million deal, per a league source.

Flacco waived. I would love him as a backup if he'd do it and if he would take a massive pay cut. He's not going to have a lot of other options.

I wonder if he'd just retire.  Couldn't blame him.  No one's starting him.  He might not want to be a backup.  I think he'd want too much to be a backup.

He owes his career to Joe Douglas, time for payback. Plus making $8M to carry a clipboard and get started on a coaching career while still wearing pads on a Sunday might be exactly what he wants to do.

Ditto. I'd love to see Flacco here backing up Sam.

I know it's absurd to think about considering how decidedly pedestrian he was for most of his career...his super bowl run is still the most insanely lights out performance over a playoff stretch I've ever seen out of a quarterback, ever. Him and Anquan went freaking nuts.

Compton and Shell getting paid is truly mindblowing.

If you ever start 1 game in this league, it's essentially a 8 year pension to bounce around for millions of dollars.

No idea what they thought he'd last.

Gurley and Chubb both have serious knee concerns.
He shook my hand breed tub and walked away

Killed the Seafood Platters this year, #1 overall pick.
So it turns out, Italian Seafood was right an everyone can go freak themselves.
