Florida State redshirt senior QB McKenzie Milton (knee) told reporters that he's "100 percent" for the season opener against Notre Dame on September 5.
Milton nearly lost his leg and underwent multiple surgeries following a catastrophic knee injury in the 2018 regular-season finale while the starter at UCF. He spent the past few years battling an infection and rehabbing. Milton transferred to FSU over the winter and has declared himself healthy. “It’s been a grind the last couple years, just trying to get back to feel like I can play at a high level,” Milton said at the ACC Kickoff on Saturday. “...I already feel like I’m at 100 percent. I’m ready to go.” Milton is the heavy front-runner over Jordan Travis for starting duties if he is indeed healthy.
