By the time I’m 50, baseball will be automatic bases, underhanded softball. Football will be flag football. Basketball will be 3-on-3 with traveling and double dribbles. Every goal in soccer won’t count because they’ll find something wrong with each goal.

The only real sport is hockey.

Baseball is such an awesome sport. Be in shape. Hell, don’t be in shape.

What does it matter if your only job is batting every hour or so. Why bother learning to field. Get rid of bunting. Make the decisions a manager has to make disappear. Let’s just dumb the sport down even more.

Let’s do automatic bases from now on. One of these pampered millionaires might spike himself running the bases.

I don’t know when QBs played safety (or any defense for that matter, even Scott Bakula only played QB in Necessary Roughness) but pitchers have always batted for themselves.

I bolded Kent because with the exception of Schilling who I still think eventually gets in, I find him to be the guy that's just absolutely completely overlooked. Dude is the most prolific power hitting second baseman in the history of the game. Compare his numbers with Ryne Sandberg who skated to the Hall and tell me he doesn't belong.

Jeff Kent was universally hated by journalists, the players and his coaches. He’s definitely a hall of famer though. All that other excrement shouldn’t matter. I think Schilling should easily be a HoFer too but he’s not liked either.
