That's a nonsensical statement. Literally all sports are happening except baseball, and that probably will as well.

NHL: restarting next month in host cities
NBA: restarting next month in Disneyworld
NFL: on track to start as scheduled
All European soccer: restarted already

So basically you've lost the end of the NHL season, and the front half of the already massively bloated MLB season.

I have a hard time seeing how all three of the NHL, NBA, and NFL will play.  I wouldn't be shocked if we don't get any of them.

After just a few days of trying to prep for college football, several programs are inoperable because large portions of their rosters have or have been exposed to COVID-19.  How do you expect it to be any different with these pro rosters?

All it takes is one player on a roster to test positive (whether they are asymptomatic or not) and the whole locker room is in a excrement spot.  We're seeing it now with CFB teams and we saw it previously with the Utah Jazz.

I just don't see it happening.

Florida is the next epicenter for the virus.  You really believe they're going to be able to put a consistent product on the floor at Disneyworld?

It's wishful thinking.

There will be all kinds of issues.

Just play out the seasons and let the weaker players die off. Survival of the fittest. Are you really a champion if you couldn’t survive a virus with 1% death rate?

The Trevor Bauer / Aubrey Huff exchange was entertaining

Huff is freaking pathetic. He did freak all in the playoffs and is acting like he's a world beater. He was only on the team for the second title because Sabean felt like handing out sweetheart deals to the vets instead of building a core to continue winning.

Bauer murked him, and it was phenomenal.

I haven't been this unenthusiastic for a baseball season to start since back when the strike ended.
Teams that draft well do so no matter where they pick. Teams that draft poorly do so no matter where they pick I want my team to win games and draft well

The Trade Deadline will indeed be August 31. Players must be on the roster by September 15 in order to be eligible for Postseason play.
