I truly cannot understand why DJ has not been given a long-term extension already
He's the exact opposite of everything the Yankees usually dump tons of cash (mistakenly) into: versatile as a fielder, and a true contact hitter who won't suddenly fall off a cliff in a year or two and stop hitting the only thing he's good at (homers)
They made the mistake with Didi, I really hope they don't screw this one up

The Didi thing isn’t that comparable because of 2 main factors:
-his injury
-his performance in his walk year
Do I wish the Yankees brought him back? Yes. His market and the deal he got tells me they did a pretty good job of evaluating his worth. No reason they can’t re-sign him this offseason, but I’m not betting on them to do so.
