The Witcher is out today, hopefully Netflix doesn’t freak this up.
I have the same hope. I've seen polar opposite reviews so far. I'm really excited for it. I'm half-Polish, and I read each book in the series within a week or two of their American releases, so this is kind of a big deal to me.
I'm just worried too many people are going to compare it directly to Game of Thrones, and it's really not very similar. It has the obvious tropes of destiny, fights for rulership, and relationships, and they're both staged in fantasy settings, but they're very different in terms of storytelling.
