I still don't think the Cousins signing is a bad move. Yeah he's expensive for his level of performance. But he's a legitimate starting QB. Not a top 10 one but not bottom 10 either.

By signing him they're able to go BPA and build a competitive team around him while eventually looking for a franchise QB to develop. Considering how expensive talented QB's are to draft and the degree of luck involved, I think the Cousins move was a good one

Cousins was a product of no other options on the market when he was a free agent and a lot of teams needing a QB that bad. I never wanted him, we can think him indirectly for getting Darnold.

Yes he was. I don't think they're where they are because of Cousins and I think they could have been where they are with a different and probably less expensive option, but in hindsight it has still worked out pretty well for them.
