Well, unless Darnold cures most of our offensive ills, we will pick high enough in the draft to get a premier OL.
I was watching Georgia/Notre Dame last night....sign me up for that Andrew Thomas kid in the first round

Fairly sure I could be a passable OL coach with Tyron Smith, Travis Frederick and Zack Martin in the room. Good coaches make mediocre players better - look at the guy coaching the opposing line today.

You'll see no argument from me. I'm only saying that was his reputation.

I'm not interested in defending Gase (I was not supportive of his hiring) but I think it's ludicrous to call for his immediate execution given the circumstances.

I didn't want him from the outset and every single game further proves why. It's disingenuous to just give him a pass for the team absolutely shitting the bed against the Patriots because we've got a couple of injuries.

Agreed, but the way this board is, not wanting to execute Gase means you're supporting him. That's basically how I felt about Geno.

I'm not opposed to firing Gase at the end of the year if this continues. I just don't think you can judge him right now. All offseason, the refrain about the Jets was, "The starting lineup is solid, but they have no depth." Well, we've been as ravaged by injuries as any team in the NFL, and the lack of depth is getting exposed. And the two major problem areas entering the season (OL and CB) have remained problems, with OL being far worse than anyone would have thought.

The Pats have let up 6 points combined in their last 3 games, including games against the Rams and Steelers.

It's not a pass because, if you include vs the Browns last week the team still looks way too flat. But it's absurd in the circumstances to get mad at the scheming. If you want to get mad at the motivation that's fine, but 99% of coaches would not succeed with the way things currently are

A couple of injuries? We're missing both of our starting inside linebackers (one of whom is responsible for calling out plays on defense, the other had this responsibility last year), our #2 receiver is on IR, our stud tight end is suspended, our offensive line is hobbled (in addition to being incompetent), and we're down to our 3rd string quarterback who's making his first career start against the Patriots in Foxborough for crying out loud! Who's really being disingenuous?

We're paying Bellamy $4 million a year and he can't even get on the field at WR over Braxton Berrios. Not like Falk would get him the ball anyway, but still

Sorry. Damn autocorrect
Your defense is that autocorrect changed "points" into "yards?"

I call BS.
