It's kind of annoying that everyone puts out these stupid article saying something bad is coming yet no one seems to know what it is or be able to publish it.

Maybe Snyder sells the team if it’s bad enough? Then again I find it hard to believe it’s worse than whatever Irsay was into a few years back and he wasn’t forced to sell the Colts.

I presume that they all know roughly what it is, but without knowing the WaPo sources with which to corroborate it they can't legally put it out there. There may also be an element of journalistic ethics, to not try and spoil someone else's big investigative scoop unless you also have the story.

As for why WaPo hasn't run it yet, two possibilities come to mind. One is they're leaking bits to build up impact when it drops, the other is that they're tied up with the team, the league, and/or the individuals involved, either with legal attempts to suppress some or all of the details, or some good old fashioned horse trading to try and mitigate its impact.

Does Bezos want a football team? I wasn't aware of that. He's probably worth more than all of the owners put together - he could just buy every team in the league and guarantee himself a ring every year.
