If Josh McCown were healthy, Jets probably win this game. Hard to win without a quarterback.

Losing this game isn't on the defense. They've forced three turnovers and the offense has consistently failed to capitalise on them. Petty has missed a lot of easy throws and one nice downfield ball doesn't negate that. He's not an NFL standard quarterback.
With all respect JE I think you are asking for too much

Came from Baylor where he never huddled or called plays. Came into the NFL with 100% to learn.

Today is really his first real chance as an NFL QB.

What we saw is a kid who has learned the basics, isn't rattled, is mobile in the pocket, can make some throws and isn't a turnover machine on the road in a tough place to play against a good team

Next week, I'll expect more

It's his third season. I get that he was a project, and I preached patience with him. But it's year 3. This is when we're supposed to see flashes. And he's been abysmal.

Not to mention, he started 4 games last season.

People say they've seen flashes from Chad Hansen. That's the first play he's made all year. Very nice play though.

Not even close to abysmal.

Patience is needed

Just cover the spread.
That's a lock unless we throw a pick 6

And neither GeNO or Sanchez are behind center

Plenty of time

Recover the onside kick

And get the winning TD

What do you call a quarterback who completes less than half of his passes and averages 4.6 yards per attempt? Last time a Jets QB did that was Fitzy vs the Chiefs.

Sorry

Forgot you expected Dan Marino to walk out of the clubhouse

Lets remember the piles of garbage we've had here since Pennington got hurt

Petty played OK

He's good backup material who doesn't make disastrous mistakes

Still want Mayfield in April If we can grab him
