Jets legend Mark Sanchez has retired

Mark Sanchez is retiring from the NFL to become a college football analyst at ESPN.
Teams that draft well do so no matter where they pick. Teams that draft poorly do so no matter where they pick I want my team to win games and draft well

Great at talking football, not so much at playing it

Laugh all you want but he was our QB the last two times we got to the playoffs, and he was pretty damn good in those games. I have pretty good memories of his time with the Jets, and freak ESPN, Cimini and all that buttfumble excrement.

Vinny 1998, Chad 2002, Favre 2008, Sanchez 2010 and Fitzpatrick 2015 are the best QB years we’ve had in the last 30 years. I suppose you could throw Chad 2004 on the list, but 02 was way more exciting.

Overall our QB play has been terrible in my entire lifetime. Sanchez play in the first half against the Colts in 09 and the second half against the Steelers in 10 are some of the best QB we’ve had. That said absolutely nothing will top the Divisional round against the Patriots. Braylon dragging people into the end zone and Greene putting the game to bed were awesome. But the toe drag corner grab by Holmes may be the single most influential perfectly executed pass and catch I have ever seen a Jets tandem make in the moment.
Need a new one for a new board...
