Melanie Lynskey surprise casting was cool to see

I'm thinking she's going to have a very minor role

I just had a quick look and her character isn't part of the original story.

They're adding KC as a location to the series.

I quite like the idea of them adding new characters and storylines, I've played through the game twice so a linear retelling of the same story might lose a bit of interest.

"My whole career I completely shat on jump scares as a concept, and I wanted to make sure it was pinned to me, too, as much as it is to the show, to Netflix, and all of us who have inflicted this on everyone," Flanagan said. "Now, I have my name in the Guinness Book of World Records for jump scares, which means next time I get the note, I can say, 'You know, as the current world record holder for jump scares, I don't think we need one here.'"

Flanagan's the man.

I can't wait to watch this

This, or the apparently good Hellraiser reboot tonight.

Also they just made a Let The Right One In show.  But this blurb makes it seem like they missed some of the most interesting components of the original.  It shouldn't be a a father-daughter relationship.

Mark and his daughter Eleanor’s lives were changed forever 10 years earlier when she was turned into a vampire. Seemingly frozen in time at the age of 12, Eleanor has lived a closed-in life, able to go out only at night, while her father does his best to provide her with the human blood she needs to stay alive. Now they’ve returned home to New York City, desperate to find a cure.

Yeah, that's a weird take and I don't 100% like it.

It's good so far but I'd rank it below his other series.  I kind of expected that because YA is a handicap, but you can see what attracted him to the project, he gets to branch out into a new genre every episode.

I think the author of that YA series is one of his inspirations

Last 6 months I have finished off Better Call Saul (and re-watched the first 3 seasons). Peaky Blinders. Midnight Mass. The Bear. The Wire. The Untold docs on Netflix. I’m half way through Barry and I’m caught up on Welcome to Wrexham. Gonna be tough to top that.

The Wire was superb. Seasons 3 and 4 were elite and the opener for season 4 (Snoop in the Home Depot) is a classic. Episodes 7 and 8 of The Bear were amazing. Really want to see JAW get nominated for something. Midnight Mass was fantastic. The scene on the rowboat at the end of (I think) episode 5 was insane. First 3 seasons of Peaky Blinders were top notch. Barry has been fantastic and Wrexham has been a very pleasant surprise. Oh, Cobra Kai season 5 was surprisingly good too. Zabka funny as always, Chosen was cool and Kreese surprisingly a little dramatic.

Saul was the best though. Better than BB. Was genuinely sad it was over for like 2 weeks.
