Some pretty cool Elm Street visual references in that first Stranger Things episode.

The kill at the end reminded me of It Follows too, but they definitely are showing HEAVY Elm Street influence.  Robert Englund is Victor Creed.

Thinking they are going in a West Memphis Three direction too…

Stranger Things 4 was fun.

Hated the 30 year old basketball captain and all of his lame derriere speeches.  I also thought Argyle was pointless and not funny at all.

Hopper and Steve still rule.  Munson was a good addition.

Maya Hawke was the best part of 3 and 4, in my opinion.  Sink is good in everything I've seen her in too.

I'm glad they added Sink because she's easily the best actor out of all the kids.  Gaten Matarazzo is OK too.  The rest of the kids are mediocre to bad.

I find myself watching this and last season and just wanting to fast-forward to the stranger things.  The showrunners do horror really well; comedy and drama, not so much.

I'd give it to the kid who plays Will but Mike is a close second.

This

Will is insufferable

I found it funny that the scene at the skating rink was set on the day I was born.

The writing staff for the show failed Will as a character. The one who was taken to the Upside Down and had a mental connection to the Mond Flayer should have been a mich more compelling character.

We just started the season last night and I thought the same thing.

I haven’t seen It Follows in a while. Might need to rewatch it.

Sink is good in everything I've seen her in too.

Just finished episode 4... she crushed it.

Perfect point of comparison: Millie Bobby Brown cries like she just learned how to on queue over the pandemic and now it's her Big Sad Actor Move in every scene.  Sadie Sink cries like she's desperately trying not to.

Sink > Brown.
