Why primary Romney? I'd have thought he'd win by a landslide, isn't he really popular with his constituents?

Toomey's not running again so you'll get your wish there. Will be interesting to see how far right the candidate runs if they're against Fetterman.

Utah has a resolution accusing Romney of being a deep state agent, but state Republican leaders are not backing it.

Burr and Toomey aren't running again anyway, so I doubt they care. This is just the party sending a clear warning shot to anyone planning to run as their replacement that slavish adherence to the party line is the table stake, and that the expression of individual thoughts or personal principles, much less acting upon them, will not be tolerated.

Haven't Manchin and Sinema made it clear that they have no intention of voting for that, while the rest of them would kinda like to but are scared of what will happen if they do and then lose control of the Senate?
