No.  It was supposed to make the assholes in the audience look like assholes because there was no good way to react.  It's all about liberal hypocrisy.  I'd have thought you'd love it even more than I did.

Absolutely.  It's an epic clusterfuck and a self aware disaster.  Chris Rock clearly set out to make the most uncomfortable mess possible.  It's great.  That Joe Biden/Gaga excrement was just the freaking cherry on top.

Hollywood consistently looks bad during the Oscars.  This is next level.
