I'm certainly not in this position but it's probably valid if someone wants porn material from a particular person and wants to make sure they are compensated for it.

The difference is that with onlyfans those dollars are a direct transaction of money for services. "Influencers" are generally vehicles for collecting audiences that can then be sold to a third party for the purposes of commercial advertising.

I can see the parallel you're making but like Badger, I think that the onlyfans model is slightly more honest. And I don't really have any issue with girls who want to make money from showing men their bodies doing so via a platform that puts the control of what they show, how and when they show it, and how much they charge for it, in their hands.

I hate influencers and am in no way trying to defend them, but I don’t see how that’s any different than cable TV, Netflix, YouTube channels, phone applications, etc. selling advertising. They’re vehicles for audiences and are whoring themselves out for paid advertising telling you who listen to and what to consume. I just see it as all advertising. I scroll by influencers just like I barely pay attention to ads on TV or my phone.

I don't care about influencers or only fans girls, but what's the difference between a girl posting on only fans and a girl stripping in a seedy club? Other than she's actually safe in her home.

People used to ask why pretty girls would "waste" themselves taking their clothes off for dollar bills. The oldest industry is prostitution. They don't still have adult movies for rent in every hotel for no reason. People will always pay for sexual gratification.

If it's not your thing, so be it. But I don't see any reason to stand in the way of a person who wants to use their sexuality to make money or the people willing to pay them to do so.
