I forgot about the Week 1/Week 2 thing, learned that on Hard Knocks the one year.

Was thinking about the QB thing. If you're going into a camp with Flynn and Johnson competing for a job, any job, Flynn might likely win. But in a situation like this, late in camp looking for an emergency guy, I think Johnson might be a better choice. You get to a point, with Geno and Fitz out, where you're only able to use part of your playbook, a guy who can make plays and extend drives by running might keep us afloat until we got Fitzpatrick or Geno back. If it's a long term where you need the guy, then Flynn.

Right, but if you're bringing one back for Week 2. They wouldn't want either Week 1 because Geno will be back and you don't want the contract for the whole season. You're gambling that Fitzpartick can go one game without getting hurt, if he does you have Petty dressed.

I think either Flynn or Johnson are resigned after week 1.

Unless a better choice is cut by another team.

We need a semi reliable vet to backup Fitz and Bryce.
