It's 2015. Everything needs a label.

I personally like Domestic Terrorism in the form a Hate Crime. If it was a US Citizen who was muslim and committed this act in the name of Allah, it would be terrorism and everyone would be in agreement, but the correct term should be, IMO, Domestic Terrorism in the form of Jihad.

He killed a senator. He's getting the death penalty.

He's no different between anyone on this list https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lone_wolf_(terrorism)

It sounds like both of his parents just gave him money to buy the gun, but they didn't want him to have it.

I believe so, but I'm not 100% certain.

Some are saying he bought it himself and that his charges didn't show in the background check because they were pending and others are saying his dad bought it for him.

Because it was a terrorist act.  I care that certain people are attempting to excuse it and downplay it.  Lindsey Graham calling it a psycho Christian killer reinforces wrongheaded beliefs for a whole lot of people and perpetuates this idea that people of color are more dangerous as a whole than white people are or naturally more inclined to violence with actual meaning behind it.  As we saw from that article someone posted in here, that's just not true.

If it were some radical atheist (I know, I know) who stormed the church and shot it up talking about needing to wipe Christianity out in this country, terrorism would have been screamed left and right.
