'The Bronx' and 'Mariachi El Bronx' was more about the novelty of an L.A. punk band's alter musical personality.  Besides, the 'mariachi tune' has hints of 'anglo' in the chord structure (aside from it being sung in ingles).  While blaring mariachi at 8:00 a.m. may not be my cup of tea, it's upbeat, uptempo and can liven up e.g. a restaurant's ambiance; fun, lively music.  As for south-of-the-border 'rubbish' imho it's 'Banda' music with its 'exaggerated vibrato' drunken/laughing trumpets, farting tubas, weepy clarinets and oom-pah tempos---the special olympics of music.

Sweet & thx for the heads up JE.  At the 1:00 minute mark...drums kick in: Bad Company "Feel Like Making Love" ....not a diss, I love Maiden

(even if Nicko McBrain dragged slightly coming out of the turnover at the 3:05-3:07 mark...give it a listen from 2:50 onwards).  I know, "don't be that guy delavan" but it's bugging me.  Nice soloing - good tune, good stuff.
