What else would qualify?

Seriously, asking for recommendations, I feel like comedies took a nosedive the past 10 years
Well are we talking since 2000 or since 2010? I agree the last decade was sparser.

Booksmart
The Big Sick
The Disaster Artist
Eighth Grade (a horror film)
Blindspotting
Popstar
What We Do in the Shadows
The Nice Guys
Logan Lucky

The last decade really has sucked

---

I will always recommended American Animals because it's brilliant and I feel like no one has watched it.

nice guys is really good, i've been able to watch it a few times and it has good re-watch value

i watched american animals and thought it was pretty good. the real life story itself about why the kids did it in the first place was kind of bonkers/stupid. however the one thing i could not get over was how ugly the 'artist' was in the movie. genuinely one of the ugliest people i've ever seen on the screen. he just has a sick/gauntly look at baseline. it was probably poor facial hair but it looked like he had a stain of excrement on his chin the entire movie

Rubber dinghy rapids bro

mashallah brotha

Definitely need to watch this one.

this excrement is on my watch list on hulu, need to find the time to watch it

Netflix keeps recommending it to me but I'm not sure I'm sold on it

The intention here is to create a new franchise with a James Bond level of scale and a budget upward of $200 million.

Think they're doing this instead of making Extraction sequels?

This is supposed to be really good.

Probably going to watch The Rental tonight (Dave Franco's horror debut).

I just watched this, plot was nonsense but the action scenes were quite good.

It was pretty much what I expected so no regrets here

The Rental was not good.  The score and some of the cinematography were great, but the script was absolute excrement.

Checked Candyman off the list tonight.

Might do Hellraiser next.
