It's really a little embarrassing how the Pats fans treated Jones. He was pretty good for a rookie last year and helped take you to the playoffs. Now a couple of games into Year 2, you're booing him? For Bailey Zappe? It would be like if Jets fans booed Wilson because we wanted Mike White.

I don't know what Mac Jones is going to be, and Zappe looked decent, but it seems like the Patriots might be lighting the Jones pick on fire.

The difference is we don't have another young QB option. Our backups are White and Flacco, and I don't think anyone thinks either of them can be the long-term answer. Maybe some people still believe in White, but I doubt it.

I do wonder if Zach doesn't start putting up better numbers if people will start to push for a change. Even though Zach hasn't been good, he's probably been better than Flacco, and we need to give Zach the whole season to see what he can do and how much he can improve.

I could see the Jets being in a similar spot next year. If we're still unsure on Wilson, maybe we spend a James Morgan style pick on a mid-round QB next year.
